Beach Activities You Can Do at Cocomar Beachfront Hotel
Palo Seco Beach provides a series of activities for tourists of all ages, from exotic boat tours on the Palo Seco Mangrove, sports that involve physical exertion such as beach volleyball and surf to taking a quiet walk down the flat soft sanded beach. If you bring a bicycle, you can ride a bike ride across the Palo Seco surroundings and visit the end of the island, on the southern tip where the ocean beautifully blends with the large estuary. Palo Seco is a stretch of land with access through only one entrance and one exit; therefore, the low transit of vehicles makes it an ideal and safe place to ride a bike accompanied by your partner, friends or family.
Any tourist seeking adventure and exotic activities can choose to rent a boat and navigate through miles of mangrove paths or practice freshwater fishing in Parrita river. If you go near the mangroves, you can watch a variety of birds, monkeys, butterflies, iguanas, and crabs of different colors. It is possible with prior coordination with the hotel, Yoga classes on the beach or horseback riding tours on 7,4 miles of beach land. We also offer options for sports lovers such as beach volleyball with our net that is in front of the hotel and surf in our sea. For those that look for relaxing and low physical exertion, we recommend you to walk during low tides on the flat soft sanded beach where you can encounter a wide variety of conch shells and sea stars. During the mid-June and mid-December season, Palo Seco beach is visited by Lora and Carey turtles that arrive to lay eggs on our beach. The local school and our local community actively participate in the protection and preservation of these beautiful animals. Even though we cannot assure you that you will be able to see these animals during your stay, if you are lucky enough, you can witness the arrival of the turtles to Playa Palo Seco.
